Bandai Hobby RE/100 1/100 ZAKUII FZ(2019)
Bandai Hobby RE/100 1/100 Zaku II FZ (2019)
The Zaku II Kai from Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket joins the RE/100 lineup with a modern redesign focused on clean assembly, realistic detail, and expressive posing. Engineered without traditional polycaps—the first of its kind in the RE/100 series—the kit utilizes durable KPS material throughout the frame, delivering smooth joint movement, excellent part fit, and long-term stability.
Color separation is achieved through thoughtful multi-part layering, allowing anime-accurate colors straight out of the box with no painting required. Even small armor panels, vent trims, and tubing segments feature individual molding, enhancing the mechanical density and grounded military aesthetic associated with the Zeon late-war redesign.
Three head configurations are included—standard, commander-type with antenna, and the distinctive Fritz Helm—making this release ideal for unit variation displays or custom squad builds. The enlarged chest, reinforced limbs, exposed cabling, and rugged backpack are faithfully sculpted to reflect the upgraded performance of the FZ variant.
Articulation has been strategically expanded: the chest armor can be pulled forward to support deeper forward bends, and the cockpit block slides to prevent interference during posing. The result is a mobile suit capable of kneeling, aiming, bracing, and dynamic battlefield stances uncommon for bulky Zeon units. Weapon-mounting racks built into the armor also feature deployable mechanisms for enhanced display options.
Included armaments—MMP-80 machine gun, Heat Hawk, and bundled hand grenades—capture the gritty, close-quarters combat style seen in the OVA. Each fits securely using dedicated hands and mounting points, enabling realistic storage and readiness poses.
A sharply molded 1/100 kit that balances realism, durability, and ease of assembly, making it a standout Zeon release for RE/100 collectors, Universal Century enthusiasts, and builders seeking a premium yet approachable Zaku variant.
